Competition terms and conditions

  • ○ This is an international prize-competition arranged by Husqvarna AB, org nr. 556000-5331, Drottninggatan 2, SE-561 82 Husqvarna, (the “Promoter”), with a total of 3 prize-winners (the “Competition”).
  • ○ The Competition is open to all over 18 excluding employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its affiliated companies, their agents or other persons professionally connected with the Competition.
  • ○ By taking part in this Competition, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and is bound by these terms and conditions.
  • ○ To enter the Competition, send in your photo to us on Instagram (the “Submission”). To do this, simply upload your photo to the Instagram app, pick a filter of your choice, and add into the caption area “My #WinHusqvarna entry for @husqvarna_professional_forest to win pro logging gear”. Then share the photo to Instagram.  
  • ○ Alternatively, photo entries can be submitted via Twitter if the user does not own the Instagram app (the “Submission”). To do this publish a Tweet of the following: “My #WinHusqvarna entry for @pro_forest to win pro logging gear” and link to your photo entry.
  • ○ As conditions of entry into this Competition, by uploading a photo, you the entrant:
  1. Warrant and represent that you own all rights to the Submission, including, without limitation, the image you have uploaded.
  2. Warrant and represent that your Submission: (a) is original to you and has been legally obtained and created, (b) does not infringe the intellectual property or any other legal or moral rights of any third party; (c)  has not been published previously in any medium.
  3. Irrevocably grant to the Promoter and its affiliates, assigns, agents and licensees, the unconditional and perpetual right and permission to (as appropriate), reproduce, alter, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post,  display adapt, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), your Submission, as well as any additional photographic images or other materials relating to you and arising out of your participation in this Competition (with or without using your name) (collectively, the "Additional Materials") in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party.
  4. Forever waive any rights of privacy, intellectual property rights, and any other legal or moral rights that may preclude the Promoter's use of your Submission or additional materials, or require your permission for the Promoter to use them for any purpose, and agree to never sue or assert any claim against the Promoter use of the Submission or additional materials.
  • ○ The opening date for receipt of entries is the June 9th 2014 and the closing date for receipt of entries is the September 14th 2014.
  • ○ The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. No responsibility will be taken for telecommunication or website error.
  • ○ You may enter as many different submissions into the Competition as you like, as long as the same (or substantially similar) submission is not submitted more than once within the Competition entry period. Identical or substantially similar entries will be declared void and will not be entered into the Competition. No bulk, machine generated, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted. Entries will only be allowed in accordance with these terms and conditions. Any attempted interference with the running of this Competition will result in a void entry.
  • ○ Three winners will be selected by an independent judging panel, from all entries received by the closing date on or before September 14th2014. The winners will be notified by message on Instagram or Twitter no later than the September 26th 2014. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winners; however, if a prize is not claimed by October 11th 2014, the winner will forfeit their prize and a further winner will be selected from all remaining entries. 
  • ○ The jury consist of 4 people from Promoter’s Global Marketing department. The jury will review the submissions and decide three winners which in their opinion have the most creative, fun and original Submissions. Photos that incorporate Husqvarna chainsaws in a fun and exciting way would be preferable. 
  • ○ The prize each winner will receive is a Husqvarna accessory pack including Husqvarna boots (Protective boot Technical 24),  Husqvarna gloves (Technical with saw protection) and a Husqvarna bag with a value of 470 € / 640 USD 
  • ○ The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The decisions of the jury are final and cannot be appealed in any way.
  • ○ The Promoter accepts no responsibility in relation to the prizes, the prize winners’ conduct or their guest’s conduct once the prizes are claimed by the winners.
  • ○ The Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  • ○ The prizes will be sent to the winners’ designated addresses by no later than October 31st 2014.
  • ○ By submitting an entry, all participants accept they may be required to participate in related publicity.
  • ○ Promoter and its participating subsidiaries reserve the right to publish the full name and home district of the winner in any media (with no time limit) and without any compensation to the winner. The winner is to be announced on www.wlc-2014.com from and including October 18th 2014 until January 18th 2014.
  • ○ Tax or any other expenses incurred by the winners as a result of winning the prize will not be reimbursed by the Promoter or by participating subsidiaries. The Promoter or the participating subsidiary will comply with the applicable tax legislation in the winner’s country of residence as it applies to the award of prizes, including the provision of personal information about the winner to the tax authorities in that country. By way of example, should the winner’s country of residence be Sweden then Husqvarna AB will be obliged to provide the tax authorities with the winner’s name and Swedish personal identity number. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current data protection legislation and will only be used for the purposes of this Competition and not be disclosed for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent.  
  • ○ Questions regarding specific Submission entries cannot be answered. Any general questions about the Competition may be addressed to husqvarna.competition@husqvarna.com or to Husqvarna AB, Global Marketing Department, SE-561 82 Huskvarna, Sweden.
